The IoT European Large-Scale Pilots Programme Knowledge Base is a “wiki-alike” online encyclopaedia of articles on vital topics related to EU LSP pilots, conclusions, lessons learned, solutions and User feedbacks M3-M36.

The aim of the Knowledge Base is to enable the community to share and mutualise lessons learned and to capitalise the acquired experience in order to support and accelerate the progress on the learning curve.

New User

If you want to contribute to the IoT European Large-Scale Pilots Programme Knowledge Base follow the next steps.

Request to contribute

Send email to knowledge.base@u4iot.eu with request to access the Knowledge Base website.

Please follow the instructions below:

  • Enter this email subject: The IoT European Large-Scale Pilots Programme Projects – Knowledge Base request to edit
  • Povide the necessary information in the email body:
    • Your full name
    • Your user name (a unique nickname that you will be using when contributing to the knowledge base; bear in mind that this user name is not editable, and once you choose it, it cannot be modified)
    • Your email address
    • Point of interest: why do you want to contribute / subject / category / project

After your request has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation containing additional information and your credentials. Once you get this email from our administrator, you will be able to personalize the account by changing your password.

 

Editing

Every Editor has the right to add and edit Posts and Categories.

Please acknowledge that all Users (Editors) have right to view, edit and delete posts from other Users.

Consequently, we advise you to respect another Users’ work. Do not disrupt the community and the mission of the European Large-Scale Pilots Programme Knowledge Base. Collaborate in “good faith”.

Here are the instructions on how to publish and edit the posts.

In Post section choose the option Add New.

Each post has: Title (1) and Content field (3).

In Content field (with integrated Editor) you can add text content, media and links.

Add Media button (2) allows you to add media content directly into post or you can do this by using URL of corresponding media. Media content can be: image, file, etc.

To save your settings hit Publish button on the right-hand side.

Post Category (4)

Post Categories are related to the projects joined in The IoT European Large-Scale Pilots Programme. Main categories are named by the projects.

These are the root categories for other, more specific themes related to the specific projects.

Each project Category can have its specific Subcategories (explained additionally in Add Category section).

If you want to publish a post related to all the European Large-Scale Pilot Projects, put it in Category General.

To make Post visible it is necessary to relate it to one of the Categories (4) listed. In case that the listed Categories don’t match your needs, you can add New Category (in the right sidebar) and assign your post to it.

We advise you to assign post to one Category only.

In Post section choose Categories.

Each Category has Name (1), Slug (2), Parent Category (3), Description (4).

It is recommended to enter Name and Slug (see the picture below).

Subcategories / Add Category Section

Categories have a hierarchy and can be assigned in the Parent Category field.

Your Subcategory (Child Category) depends on the existing/created Parent Categories:

Subcategory title must contain the name of the Parent Category with the specifically determined topic (for example: Parent Category: U4IoT; Subcategory: Privacy U4IoT).

To save your settings hit Add New Category button.
